Attention all Dog Lovers!

Life lately has been a blur of good things. So much to share, coming soon. I cannot believe tomorrow is my last day as an Undergraduate student at Texas A&M. Student teaching, here I come!

One special little thing I want to share for now is... this.

During the past few weeks we have been absolutley showered with love from friends and family. I genuinely can't get over the fact that people want to help us build our home. It's surreal and I am challenged to be as kind and giving as those around me.

What I want to share with you is probably my favorite gift we've received thus far. Ben and I are absolutely smitten with our English bulldog, Matilda. We are excited to have a little family with her cute self.

Ben's brother and sister in law (can't wait to call yall my own!!) are close friends with a Denton area artist, Mandy Cave. They commissioned this perfect watercolor portrait of our sweet pup for us. I am obsessed.

I have never met Mandy, but I have heard of her story. She recently quit her job at Panera Bread to pursue art full time. Let me tell you, this girl is TALENTED. I long for the courage to step out and follow what I believe God is calling me to do, regardless of what the world tells us about comfort through money and our career. I believe Mandy is doing that.

All of that being said, you should check out Mandy's Etsy Shop (click on those words to follow to the link!) and help support her new career path. The website also lists house paintings (how sweet would it be to get your parents a painting of their first house together?) and I have seen her do some incredible recreations of photographs.

Check it out yall! :)

we got the keys!

I'm sorry that literally every blog post of mine has been about our new home! It's going to get even worse when we're actually in there and I'm wanting to do a million DIY projects and record them all- eek! I cannot even tell you how excited I am for the next few weeks. We are getting to watch our sweet home transform from dated and smelly to fresh and beautiful before our eyes! It is amazing what some paint (well, and a bunch of other things) can do. I've looked forward to sharing the transformation of our house on the blog so so much. This house is going to be such a creative outlet for me, and such a milestone in our lives. This weekend, seeing the full week of work that has already been logged blew us away. The Lord is so faithful to have blessed us with so many friends and family members that are taking care of our little house while we are finishing school, overseeing the work. I am constantly blown away by how abundantly blessed we are. Repainting of the whole house started yesterday, the next time we see the place, it will be totally different! Eeek!

I can't wait to show you around, through that front door of ours.
Although, it'll be a different color then! :)

Theta Love Week Event

A few weeks ago, I had the blessing of taking some pictures for all the girls in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. It was incredible timing after deciding I want to start trying my hand at photography again!

The girls just came in a few groups, and I was truly honored to share this job with Sara Fash (click on that link to see her work- she is INCREDIBLE!) It was so fun just to unwind from a long day with second graders by getting behind the camera and photographing some beautiful girls who were just so fun to be around. Seriously, taking these pictures was easy because everyone is so gorgeous!

Girls, if you're in these pictures- there are disks coming your way soon with extra images as well! :)

a big day before the big day.

On Friday we closed on our house! It came at such a great time, with November starting and already beginning to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for! I cannot believe the progress that has already been made over at the house.. I am bursting at the seams to be there permanently when I move in as soon as the work is done. And then a few weeks after that, when I get a room mate. :)
