Hello, friends!
Today me & my blogging bestie, Sarah, are helping y'all make your reading lists for 2016. I love reading, and that shared love really grew the friendship between Sarah and I quickly. I joke that all of my best recommendations come from her, but they do! Haha! Last year she recommended my favorite series, and my favorite novel of the year she read right behind me and agreed with it's wonders! We love chatting books... and we wanted to share that with all of you lovely people!

Thought I should keep these separate! I love reading about parenting and taking bits and pieces from different books. I'm just looking forward to reading a bunch of different books. No one freak out about these titles, please. :)

As far as Mama Books go... Have you read Bringing Up Bebe? Not sure how practical all of the advice is, but it's fun and lots of good food for thought. I also really enjoyed reading "All Joy and No Fun" as more a big picture take on parenting. I read both of those before i was actually pregnant though, so now it's time to get to all the how- to books!
ReplyDeleteThe Siren!!! How did you not ever tell me about that?!!? I see it comes out the end of this month and I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
ReplyDeleteYES to babywise, and I also totally recommend "what to expect the first year". I got rid of my copy when I was pregnant, because I hated the pregnancy version of it. Turns out, the baby version is very helpful, haha! I pulled it out mostly in the first six months, especially when she was colicky and had insane baby acne.
ReplyDeleteI'm also laughing my way through "for the love". I think you would love Jen Hatmaker's style! It reminds me a bit of Shauna Niequist's.
xoxo

ReplyDeleteI'm making an effort to read more this year since last year I hard read. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely check these out!
