Labor Day Weekend

If you know me well, you know I'm not really a music girl.. and today's Blogtember challenge prompt includes making a playlist.. so I'm here with a recap of our Labor Day weekend! :)


We started the weekend off with a Thursday night haircut! We went from this:

Doesn't he look like such a big boy? This isn't the greatest photo ever taken but it showed Beau's cute Aggie outfit for his first day of college football season opening weekend! The haircut was Thursday night and I snapped the after pic on Saturday morning! 

We had a birthday party to go to and I thought I would share what I got for a gift idea! The American Girl Baking book (honestly I want one for myself), cute cookie cutters, chocolate chips, and powdered sugar. I got the organic kind because the packaging was so cute and matched the girly theme I had going on! :) 

The party was unicorn themed and had a real, live unicorn! ;) 

At the party my favorite photo ever happened! My bestie Polly's little girl Hallie was all about Beau Bear! 

Please note the little blue dog, my sweet friend got Beau (the only boy) his own favor! So thoughtful!!

I love party details so much! After the party we ran a few errands and came home. I took a nap while Ben and Beau watched some college football and I woke up just in time to snuggle my boy and watch our Aggies pull out a win in overtime!

Then I made a favorite recipe, SkinnyTaste Chicken parm! Yum. Try it, I promise you'll love it! Comfort food can be healthy, y'all! 

After dinner and the Aggies, we checked up on a friend we went to high school with who's playing for the Detroit Tigers. I went to elementary school with Tyler and Ben played baseball with him in high school. Ben's dad is infamous for being "the stalker" and keeping up with the sports life of everyone he's ever met, and clearly we're following suit!

On Sunday morning we went to church, to lunch with my dad, and shopping for some house things. It was time for a new tv and we got an awesome deal at Target!

We took the photo on the right, and this side by side is my new favorite thing! The first photo was taken the Sunday before Beau was born (on Wednesday night) and here we are just a few months later.. same spot, same dress, with a much bigger baby! It's so weird to think back to life before Beau. It feels like I've always known his little features and loved him so much. I can't believe he was in my tummy and now he's literally wearing size 1 freshly picked moccs!!! 

He's also getting so strong!

On Monday morning we were so glad for Ben to have the day off! In true instagram husband form, he let me sleep in, put Beau in the bed, and snapped some pics of us together, haha! I love this photo!

This is what happened when I woke up.. haha! My cheeky little boy! It's like he thought he was pulling a prank by sneaking in his mama's bed!

To finish the weekend I had a girls night with my friend Kayla! We went to dinner & to Nordstrom. I picked up a cute new scarf for fall, and a few beauty products I needed. (a travel size of a new cleanser, lip product, my favorite mascara!)
