Friday No. 49

No. 1
Right now we are LIVING for Christmas jammies. I feel like Thanksgiving week totally snuck up on me and I'm so excited for Beau's first holiday! I don't want to skip it, but I have busted out Beau's Christmas jams.. and Christmas shopping has been happening like crazy! I really want all the to do's checked off so that we can really enjoy the sweet time with Beau and our friends and family.. holiday dinners, photos with Santa, carriage ride through the Christmas lights... it's going to be GOOD!

No. 2

On Sunday some girls from our home group did a freezer meal swap. I made four batches of Pioneer Woman Chicken Spaghetti and brought home a lasagna, king ranch casserole, white chicken chili, and meatball soup. YUM! I love this little tradition we've started!

Y'all have probably noticed, but I've really been lacking inspiration lately. I feel like sometimes with my creative outlets I get caught in what I'm drawn to doing and what I feel like I "should" be drawn to doing.. does that make sense? For example, in decorating, I sometimes don't end up choosing what I'm naturally drawn to because it doesn't seem like the obvious choice for me. But if I can shake that feeling, I usually end up feeling excited and inspired. I'm really hoping to get a grip on that soon. We're headed to New York City this weekend, a place that always leaves me feeling refreshed. I think that will help!

No. 4
After reading my Thanksgiving planning blog post, I got sent several awesome recipes! Apparently Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie is amazing, and so is the Martha Stewart Pumpkin Cheesecake... YUM! I love chatting with y'all about these things!

No. 5
Yesterday I was eating lunch with two friends and look who fell asleep! It was the cutest thing, he just kind of slumped down to take a nap!

  1. A freezer meal swap sounds like such a great idea! I'm going to have to introduce that to the ladies in my church group!
