As I mentioned here, I have had the wheels turning in my head about Beau's first birthday since before he was born. I just love celebrations and themes. It just makes life a little bit more fun. :) When planning our event, I had a few details in mind.. one of which was photos. I wanted to display favorite photos from Beau's first year. Because of my excessive amount of gallery walls in our home, I always get questions about where I choose to print our images. Since ordering our first professional photo prints of our engagement session, my go to has always been Mpix. They generously provided all the photo and invitation printing for Beau's soiree, and I couldn't have been more proud of the quality. Stay tuned for an Mpix code at the bottom of this post! :)
I hope you'll enjoy all of the images from Beau's Farmer's Market! Our sweet, locally grown ;) little fella is our greatest joy, and I loved celebrating our Springtime baby with this fun theme. We set up our own little market, and at the end of the party we sent guests home with some fresh produce as well as homemade pound cakes or breads of their choosing.
My brother in law is a skilled woodworker, and he built me this fruit stand for the event. I plan on incorporating it in lots of our parties in the years ahead!
One of my favorite details, Beau's birthday poster from Sizelove Letter Company.
My friend Tiffany is the queen of sweet, sentimental ideas for kids. She encouraged me to get a book that goes with the theme of Beau's party each year and have all of the guests sign it. I wish I would have started with one for hospital visitors, and will be sure to do so for our next baby (God willing!)
A certain little boy was trying to eat grass during these photos and not actually pose. :)
I tried to print photos that included the guests of the party, and our friends and relatives who live out of the state and country, just to show that they are all important to our family!
Let me just tell you, the watermelon wheelbarrow was the BIGGEST hit of the party. Everyone loved it so much!
All of these images are by Zac & Kaitlin, the sweetest ever. Look at their sweet little girl, Lucy, going to town on the watermelon!
Cake smash round two went how I predicted, nothing held Beau back from eating as much cake as possible!
Even once I decided enough was enough he was still trying his very best to keep snacking!
