Adventures with Nicole + Bloom Bash Dallas + Christmas Shopping + Theta Initiation

This title makes me want to take a nap. Last week was such an out of the ordinary week in my life, it was jam packed starting last Sunday evening, when I picked Nicole up from the airport! I don't have any photos from that night. We went straight from the airport to my favorite sushi spot and enjoyed a long, relaxing dinner together. So much fun! It was so fun to just be able to sit face to face with one of my long distance besties.

We woke up early Monday morning to head down to Waco so Nicole could visit the Magnolia Silos! Unfortunately it was a holiday so it was pretty busy, and SO hot. Sadly, it for sure took away from our experience but we still had a ton of fun just being together. We both bought this chalkboard and Nicole got a few other treasures and I got a Silobration shirt.

Happy girl at Magnolia! We ended up not eating at the Silos and ate yummy tacos and chips and quest at fuego. Then we raced to Fort Worth for our Dry Bar appointments. It was the perfect pampering after a hot day and Nicole took our family photos that night! I shared one of them on instagram and will share the rest in a few weeks! :)

Before we had left that morning, I put Skinny Taste three bean chili in the crockpot, so we ate that for dinner curled up on the couch watching Counting On and ate our Silos Baking Co. cupcakes! Such a great way to wind down before the next busy few days!

We headed out early Tuesday morning for Bloom Bash Dallas at The White Sparrow Barn. We were so excited to hug some necks and get the party started! I was just helping out with extra tasks and soaking up the inspiration, and Nicole filmed the workshop.

Look at our amazing goodie baskets! :)

Sweet friend Shalyn photographing the goodies!

This venue was truly gorgeous. Everyone could not stop taking photos! :)

Blog friends finally together!!!

One of my favorite parts of the workshop was watching Michaela and Ashley style this invitation suite for the styled shoot.

For some reason watching this was just amazingly therapeutic and it was fun to see my talented friends in action!

After the group took a calligraphy class, it was my job to set out the drinks. It was so fun to make it fancy!

HIGHLY recommend. YUM!!

Got to hang out with sweet Jessica and check out her beautiful work in person! I'm going to be ordering some Christmas stamps from her for our Christmas cards once I select those! :)

So many sweet friends from the week! In the photo above I'm with sweet Cara, a floral designer from Montana. She let me take home her arrangement since she couldn't travel with it and it's been so fun to have here!

The rest of the day was a fun, beautiful blur. I left feeling so inspired and encouraged and it really was such an incredibly sweet time.

The next day I was refreshed and SO excited to reunite with this little pumpkin! We went with some friends to Christmas at Cowtown, a giant shopping event in Fort Worth.

We had a blast (I bought a Christmas ornament and some toffee for my father in law!) and a major highlight was running into my next door neighbor from growing up. I met her when I was 5 years old, babysat her three kids, and hadn't seen her since I was maybe 14? SUCH a sweet blessing and highlight in my day to catch up with her!

Finishing off a busy day with my people!! We had a home group girls "Favorite Things Party" and it was so much fun! We wore our jammies too! :)

And did face masks.. haha!!

Saturday I continued my weird not with my baby week and drove to College Station to surprise my friend Julia for her Theta initiation! :) I had wanted to do this since before she went through recruitment and it was so fun to surprise her and spend the day with her and my grand little's younger sister, Amanda. These two girls are so loved!!!

It was also the first time that I got to see Megan, my little, since her engagement! Crazy circumstances kept us from attending the event and I was so sad.. so it was so fun to see her and talk all things wedding! For those keeping track.. Julia is Megan's little sister, and Megan's twin sister Sarah got married in August and Beau was the ring bearer. My favorite family of sisters ever.

Sunday morning after church we were all exhausted! Beau fell asleep in the car on the way home and Ben looked at me and said "I'm going to hold him for nap and I do not apologize." Haha!! So they had a sweet cuddle. The older he gets these are fewer and far between. Such sweet moments!

That night we hosted home group in our living room... I caught this sneaky snap of everyone and man... I am just so grateful for these people. We had 6 couples (one missing!) and FIVE babies present and we ate chocolate chip cookies and had hot apple cider. It was the sweetest time!! I don't want to ever take for granted how blessed we are to have such a sweet community to walk through life with. I always get questions about our group, so I actually have a post on that planned for next month! :)

Hope y'all had a good week.. I'm ready to be back to normal blogging after a crazy busy season! :)
