No. 1
Sugarloaf Co. sent me these adorable bows for little sister. I've had so much fun looking for girl things but there are so many bow shops it's hard to figure out which one is best to order from. Camille makes these bows and prays over the little girls that will wear them, praying they will know of God's great love from a young age. That was the absolute sweetest thing to me and I'm so excited for sister to wear her sugarloaf bows! The quality of them is so great, I'd highly recommend.

Last year Beau had see wee sandals an although I love them, I wanted to try out the Freshly Picked sandals since we loved their moccs so much when Beau was itty. Already have a few pairs ready to go for sister.. the mary jane style kills me. I ordered him these two pairs of sandals and am so excited to get them in. The little buckle doesn't have a prongs which i'm really intrigued by and think I will love!

We had our second annual Strader Farm Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday and it was such a great time with our home group. I shared this on Instagram, but during the actual hunt it was super windy and Beau didn't care at all and just wanted me to hold him. Sweet heart! I'm soaking in these moments with him. This pregnancy continues to be tough.. right after I posted my 33 week pregnancy update I had another passing out incident that's left me whooped still. So I constantly feel like I'm falling short and missing moments with Beau. I was not at all mad about getting to sit in the middle of all the egg hunters and get some time with my precious bubba! I'll recap the hunt next week with some tips on how to host one for next year!

Just wanted to share this little photo of what our days look like a lot recently. :) When I'm not feeling good Beau wants to be RIGHT there by me. Haha! As these moments have played out its felt like the moments before Ben gets home barely scoot by. I often think of this post my friend Emily wrote. It left great impact on me as a mama. Right now I'm in a season of wanting time to move quickly because we are so excited for our family to grow, but the quiet moments of just playing with Beau are what my life has been made of for the past two years and I wouldn't change a thing.

One product that I didn't have when I first had Beau was a Milk Snob.. and I constantly thought about if I should buy one and ultimately didn't but still even with him this year there have been multiple times I almost got one. I got one as a generous gift at my baby shower (in gray stripe!) but I just saw this Oh Joy! exclusive pattern one at Target on a super mom of almost 5's insta stories and now I feel like we might need two.. haha!!

I'm so excited that Ben is off work today for Good Friday! Family time has been extra sweet lately, and we have a few projects to cross off the list this weekend. I'd really like to have hospital bags 100% packed. Mine is like 20%, sister's is 90%, Ben and Beau's are 0%. I guess Beau's is a Granny and Pops bag not a hospital bag but still. I want to have all his special outfits packed up and labeled and ready to go for when he becomes a big brother. :) I also want to hang some things in the playroom so I can take photos and share our progress on the blog. Last year on Good Friday we took Beau to Chick fil A for the first time, so I'll leave you with this wonderful throwback photo. :)

33 Week Pregnancy Update

Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Popping in for another pregnancy update! In some ways I really can't believe that I'm at 33 weeks, and in others it feels like I should be having this baby tomorrow, haha! The photo above is from my baby shower that was on March 11. It was the same day as Khloe Kardashian's apparently, and I sent Polly (my friend in the photo) this instagram and was like look it's us! Ha!! Same height difference basically. Except we decided our outfits were cuter. My last pregnancy update was probably pretty glum, haha. Dealing with such a physically rough pregnancy hasn't been too fabulous, but I'm just so grateful to be carrying this precious girl! Things have gotten substantially better since that last post. I still have spurts of feeling the affects of the iron issues, but it's been a few weeks since I've thrown up and I'm really starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. March is almost over and then only a month until I get to see my baby angel's face. I have been reflecting a ton on what it was like to meet Beau for the first time and I just don't think theres any way to prepare yourself for that moment. I can't wait to experience it again. Here's some of those random fun pregnancy facts, haha!

Our Wishlist for Baby #2

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

The number of weeks before our baby girl arrives keeps shrinking (imagine that!! haha!) and I'm feeling the heat to get everything situated. The nursery is probably about 95% done and all clothes for the first few months are washed. It feels so incredibly surreal. I think because my day to day life is so wrapped up in Beau and what he needs and is doing, in some ways I'm like "OH YEAH A WHOLE NEW HUMAN BEING IS JOINING OUR FAMILY!" Haha! I'm so excited though. We loved life with Beau as a newborn and are so looking forward to our new addition. It feels like a complete dream to be able to grow our family. All of what we've dreamed of our whole lives is unfolding. Any who.. from a practical standpoint I thought it would be fun to share what "gear" is on our radar for our second child. Things we want to replace, new things we want to try, etc. :) If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please leave in the comments!

What I'm Putting in Beau's Easter Basket

Tuesday, March 13, 2018

Last year I had SO much fun putting together Beau's first Easter basket. I included his first swim suits, sandals, and because we were taking a trip to Disney World the weekend after Easter, I put all of his Disney outfits and our Magic Bands in there. It's so silly because I literally put them all in there to take them out myself.. but it sure is fun, haha!

Friday No. 77

Friday, March 9, 2018

Hi! Long time no talk.. every time I think I'm back on my feet this pregnancy it's a fake out. :) I finally got past morning sickness at around 27 weeks, but then my bigger issue became what turned out to be really low iron levels, and feeling like I'm going to pass out multiple times a day... my supplements started kicking in and then Beau and I both got sick with just yucky winter cold gunk. It's been discouraging, I'll be honest! I genuinely feel like I haven't been operating on my full energy level since August. I find myself daydreaming about how much I used to be able to accomplish or even just enjoy in a day. But it's such a short season and I'm grateful to carry our baby girl! It's crazy that she'll be here in just 8 weeks! Wow! This weekend is my baby shower and I'm so excited to get together with people I love and celebrate her precious life. Anyways, I really would love to be regularly posting, but at this stage of the game any amount of energy I have is going fully into caring for busy toddler Beau and just keeping things in our household functioning at a very basic level, haha! I have a ton of post ideas but anything with any amount of prep required is just not happening right now.. so we'll see.. because even as I type this I'm like "well, maybe!" but basically thank you to y'all for sticking around with me for this new normal. I am planning on sharing a list of my favorite baby products from Beau's newborn days + new things I'm excited to try, and a few other things!

No. 1
I love Blake Lively and so I really enjoyed this interview with her trainer about how she list 60 pounds after her second pregnancy. I'm not on track to gain anywhere near 60 pounds, but the article really normalized her celebrity and I just found it really fun to read.

No. 2
I shared this photo on instagram the other day of the bookshelves in the nursery that I just finished. I had realized that we didn't have any girl books so it was really fun to order a few!

If you have a little girl.. what are your favorite sweet little books?

No. 3
In the next few weeks I'm going to finally be sharing a roundup of my favorite baby products, plus what new things I'm planning on testing out this time around. I can't wait! If there are any specific things you want addressed, message me! :)

No. 4
The Bachelor has been much talked about this week.. and on a semi related note, I enjoyed this interview in which a ton of the contestants shared their "camera ready" makeup products and tips!

No. 5
Since we moved into this house, my nice has loved coming over and washing her hands in our bathtub, haha! It's so fun to me that now Beau has picked up on this himself and is constantly wanting to wash his sweet little hands. I never want to forget these precious little moments!

Happy Weekend! We have such a fun one ahead. Tonight marks the start of Spring Break, which means Ben is home for a WEEK! Amazing!! Tonight we're hanging out with friends, tomorrow we have big plans to work on Beau's new playroom, and Sunday is my BABY SHOWER!! I am so excited!! Hope y'all have a good day!!

March Goals

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

Looking back at these goals checked off was REALLY good for me. I've truly felt like a bump on a log since August with the challenges of this pregnancy. I tell Ben all the time how discouraged I am feeling like I can't operate at normal capacity, but I honestly achieved a lot of what I wanted to this month. The one thing I really didn't touch (washing baby clothes) was intentional because I decided to wait until after my baby shower this Sunday- then it's "GO" time! I was thinking the other day about how much I LOVE Spring. I don't know if it's because I will have had two Spring babies, but I don't think I've given the season enough credit. It's always one filled with celebration. Last Spring was so fun because we had Beau's first Easter, our trip to Disney (still one of my absolute favorite adventures with our boy!), Meredith came to visit and take his one year photos, and his birthday party. I have started to think... DO I LIKE SPRING MORE THAN FALL?!? I don't know the answer, but the two seasons always feel so refreshing to me. I'm honestly excited for this summer too, it will be slow days with a newborn and adjusting to life as a mama of two, but I'm REALLY excited because I know Beau will be all about swimming and outdoor water activities. I can't wait to start gearing up the water table again for him.

March feels like our April did last year... hustle, hustle! We have so much going on. A family wedding, my baby shower, my nephew/sister in law's birthday, one of my best friends' son's first birthday, Spring Break (WOO!!) and Easter landing early this year. We're only two weeks away from our Home Group Egg hunt! And my brother will be in town for Easter weekend. I've mentioned this here and there but he has spent the last two years traveling the world and golfing professionally, but he hung up the towel and has moved to London! All the more reason to keep visiting one of our favorite cities! I have a feeling that the rest of this month is going to fly by..

February Goals:
  •  Continue with 2 desserts a week  This has become not hard at all.. my appetite has been really low and I've only been wanting small portions
  • Continue with 30 minutes of some sort of physical activity at least 5 days a week This can't technically be checked off.. this month was rough for me from the start physically, I shared about passing out the first week of February at my glucose test, and then I really had a hard time with feeling the same way once or twice a day for a few weeks until I got on the correct medication I needed.. so I wasn't grooving on that but now it's warmed up again I'm excited for walks.. and I for sure used light weights at home more times than I honestly felt like doing based on how I was doing physically.
  • Wash all the clothes that Beau wore that can be worn by Little Sister and hang them in the closet
  • Finish 90% of the nursery
  • Enjoy celebrating turning 27!
  • Keep going on sweet adventures with Beau
  • Finalize Beau's birthday party invitations and stamp and get ready to mail  I hesitate to share this.. but between my friends and I, we've all had literally HORRIBLE experiences with small businesses lately. It's really disheartening.
  • Start working on some of the decor for Beau's birthday party haven't been able to do this while waiting on the invitation :(
  • Look for a cute swimsuit to order for Beau
  • Reorganize Beau's closet
  • Send little Valentines to Beau's friends :)  although I still have four of these in my car for people we haven't gotten to yet, whoops!!!
  • get two prenatal massages (wahoo!)
  • get our 2017 photo book ordered
March Goals:
  • Celebrate little sister at baby shower (I am SO excited!!)
  • Transform Ben's office into an office/playroom- a project we're both SO excited about
  • Wash all the baby clothes we'll need for the first few months
  • Make a list of anything we need to purchase for the hospital or newborn days and order
  • Have hospital bags packed by the end of the month, including Beau's bag with all his special big brother outfits and treats
  • Plan everything for Beau's 2nd Birthday- heart break over my baby being so big!!
  • Enjoy Ben being home from work for a WEEK!! Yay!
  • write and mail all thank you notes
  • complete the "before baby" parts of sister's baby book
  • enjoy a sweet and reflective Easter with friends and family
What do y'all have planned this month? :)
